Field Support Facility

The Field Support Facility furnishes the following services to the ER Project:

• drilling coordination, which includes contract administration of drilling subcontractors, provision of a fabrication and staging area, and provision of Laboratory-owned drill rigs with remote capability;
• a Sample Management Office that provides sample shipping, contract administration for sample analysis, and sample tracking services; and
• data management that provides verification and validation services for analytical data generated by subcontract analytical laboratories.

The Field Support Facility also has responsibility for the ER Project electronic database that contains analytical and field information. The ER database exists within the Facility for Information Management, Analysis, and Display (FIMAD).
